All SHS students will go on break today; Check the reopening date

Today, Thursday, June 1, 2023, all senior high school students in Ghana will go on break. All pre-tertiary schools in Ghana are taking a break at this time.

The Ghana Education Service says that the mid-semester break will last from June 2 to June 9, 2023. Everyone in senior high school (all tracks) gets a break in the middle of the semester. There will be a week off.

The Ghana Education Service says that this break between semesters is not required. This means that any student who wants to stay on campus must have a place to sleep and food to eat.

Also, any senior high school that wants to keep its senior year kids from going home because of how it prepares for the WASSCE can do so.
The 2023 WASSCE is coming up soon, and all students in their last year are planning for it right now.

All students in their final year of SHS will take this break before taking the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination. The kids will have a week off to give them time to study at home before the tests start.

Students will be at home so they can get things they need for their tests, like computers, math sets, useful tools, and their parents’ blessings. This is a very short break, and students are supposed to go back to school on June 9, 2023, to finish their work.

The WASSCE is sometimes seen as just another school test, so candidates shouldn’t be afraid of it. The candidates must study and be in class for the last “APOR” from the teachers.

Also, applicants should look over questions from the past. Most people who want to take the WASSCE don’t know that WAEC doesn’t really come up with new problems. About 90% of all WASSCE questions are all past problems. Most of the time, WAEC changes the questions to make them seem new, but this is an old question. The candidates should focus on the last five WASSCE questions from 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022.
